Changing Your Password

How to update the password on your account.

Updated

You can change your password from Settings, under Security. Enter your current password, then the new one twice, and save. Passwords need at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number.

If two-factor authentication is on, you confirm the change with a code from your authenticator app.

Changing your password signs you out of all other devices. Anywhere else you were signed in needs the new password to get back in.

If you cannot sign in because you have forgotten your password, press Forgot Password on the login form and enter your email. If an account exists for that address, a reset link is sent to it. The link opens a form for a new password, and you sign in again once it is set.

If you registered with Google, your account has no password until you set one. Use the same Forgot Password flow to create it. You will need a password before you can turn on two-factor authentication.
